One during the Aug Sep whenever its fall every year and this year it’s on 22nd Aug 2020 and during Month of Magh which is called Maghi Ganesh Jayanti which falls on 15th Feb 2021.

As per the present condition of Covid-19 in Vadodara and cases increasing day by day, Many Mandal’s have canceled the celebration or bring 2-3 ft Clay idol and have facilities like online darshan, so, fewer people gathered in the celebration. There will be no Aagman or Visarjan ceremony take place. However, there is no guideline issued for the Ganesh Utsav celebration by Gujarat Government to date, and that is the reason people keep asking the local authority but it looks like this again will take time and they might declare at the last moment.

Till Feb 2021 there might be some good news about Covid19 expected and if the cases start reducing and things are under control by that time, Maghi Ganesh Utsav can be celebrated with the same passion and devotion. We already have 3-4 Mandal’s who celebrate Maghi Ganesh Utsav in Vadodara and those who have not celebrated this 2020 Ganesh Utsav can join the celebration in 2021.

However, we might witness some celebrations, as those who do not want to move their Ganesh Utsav celebration and go ahead with the festivity this year on Aug 20. The celebration will be quieter this year and idol might be below 3 ft in height. Also, no grand Aagman or Visarjan Yatra on the streets of Vadodara.
