Due to the Covid19 pandemic, major Garba organizers have decided not to organize Garba this year, As the chances of Virus spread increase day by day in Gujarat. A few days back Nitin Patel given a hint of some relaxation can be given during Navratri to organize the Garba, but the organizers do not want to take any risk during this pandemic time.
United way of Baroda, Maa Shakti, Palace Heritage Garba, Vadodara Navratri fest all major Garba organizers in Garba capital Vadodara decided to cancel their Garba events. Even major Sheri Garba’s like Tadfadiya Garba Mahotsav located near Lalcout on Rajmahel road also decided not to organize Garba this year.
United way Garba is the biggest in Gujarat having almost 50000 people playing Garba at a single place and it’s difficult to do the Garba with a social distance where such Hugh numbers of people are gathering – said Hemant shah of Uway representative.
Sheri Garba might take place in some places in Vadodara depends on the situations and permission given by Government of Gujarat.
